Provincial Advisor Syed Najmi Alam Urges Sindh Livestock Officers to Dedicate Services to Rural Communities

Karachi: Syed Najmi Alam, the Provincial Advisor for Fisheries and Livestock, has emphasized the necessity for Livestock Department officers and doctors to focus their efforts on serving the impoverished communities of Sindh. This call to action was made during a critical meeting about the carpet vaccine, which was held with the Deputy Directors of Livestock Animal Husbandry from all districts of Sindh.

According to Chief Minister Sindh, the meeting involved detailed briefings from the deputy directors to the Provincial Advisor about various aspects such as the vaccine, hospital infrastructure, and the utilization of vaccines in rain emergency camps previously established to safeguard the livestock from diseases. During these discussions, Syed Najmi Alam instructed the Deputy Directors to submit their proposals concerning the construction of Veterinary Hospital buildings and the installation of solar panels. These steps are aimed at enhancing the facilities provided by future projects within the Livestock Department.

Furthermore, Syed Najmi Alam highlighted the importance of registering livestock farms in Sindh that have at least 20 animals to better serve their needs. He also stressed the need for initiating an awareness campaign about cattle fodder amongst the farmers of Sindh, which he believes will lead to increased production of milk and meat, benefiting the community at large.
