Larkana, On the final day of his three-day visit to Larkana, Provincial Advisor to the Chief Minister on Livestock, Syed Najmi Alam, visited the Livestock Department’s regional office, directing the initiation of a widespread livestock vaccination program across all tehsils of Sindh.
According to Chief Minister Sindh, during his visit, Advisor Alam chaired a meeting where he ordered the establishment of mobile laboratories to test vaccine efficacy at the village level and stressed the importance of keeping animal hospitals operational in remote areas to enhance accessibility for villagers. He emphasized the need for maintaining meticulous records within the department to ensure accountability and readiness for audits.
Advisor Alam also advocated for public education on the benefits of salt mixtures in animal feed to boost livestock productivity. His tour included stops at the Breeding Office and the Sub-Sector Office in Larkana, where he received briefings on the current status and progress of ongoing projects. Deputy Director Husbandry and other officials provided updates on available facilities and operational challenges.
Expressing satisfaction with the department’s efforts, Alam discussed future plans, including proposing new building projects to the Chief Minister and addressing delays in existing schemes. His visit was marked by the presence of key regional and provincial livestock officials, who contributed to the comprehensive review of the department’s functions and projects.
