Provincial Adviser Launches 7-Day Polio Campaign in Quetta, Calls for Community Support

Quetta: In an urgent bid to tackle polio, Provincial Adviser on Environment and Climate Change, Naseemur Rahman Khan Mullah Khel, underscored the critical need for community involvement and environmental cleanliness to fight the disease. During the recent launch of a 7-day polio eradication campaign, he detailed the ongoing struggle against polio and the essential steps needed to overcome it.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Mullah Khel highlighted the persistent challenges in controlling polio despite efforts spanning over 25 years. He identified dense population, inadequate basic facilities, medical issues, and prevalent fears as the main hurdles in eradicating the disease. Mullah Khel called on people to support the campaign wholeheartedly and assist polio teams to eliminate the disease entirely.

He also reached out to scholars, politicians, social leaders, and parents, urging them to actively participate in the polio eradication efforts. Emphasizing the importance of a collective effort, he envisioned a healthier Pakistan for future generations, enabling them to contribute positively to national and global arenas. Mullah Khel’s appeal reflects the government’s commitment to public health and the eradication of polio through comprehensive community engagement.
