It called for withdrawal of Indian occupation forces, an end to Indian state terrorism, end to genocidal repression, end to ethnic cleansing, rape, gang-rape, torture, and degrading treatment of Kashmiri men, women, and children. The petition also demanded unconditionally release of all those imprisoned including political figures in connection with resistance to the Indian occupation and permission to major human rights organisations for access to IIOJK.
The KCEU Chairman Ali Raza Syed who was organizer of the protest camp said, atrocities committed by the Indian forces against the oppressed Kashmiris are rapidly going on and a recent report of United Nation exposed that a large number of children were targeted by the Indian forces in IIOJK in the recent years.
He also asked the EU to play its role for a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute and participation of the Kashmiri leadership in all round of the peace process on Kashmir should be ensured. Meanwhile, Kashmir Council EU will also arrange a protest demonstration in front of Indian embassy in Brussels on 5th August 2021. It was 5th August 2019, when Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian regime repealed special status of IIOJK and put it under military siege.
