Protest rally in Muzaffarabad against killing of 4 civilians in IIOJK

Muzaffarabad, November 16, 2021 (PPI-OT):A protest rally was held in Muzaffarabad, today, against the killing of four unarmed civilians by Indian troops in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. A large number of people gathered at Burhan Wani Chowk in Muzaffarabad and burnt tyres while chanting slogans against Indian armed forces and brutal killing of civilians in IIOJK.

Addressing the rally, organized by Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, the speakers said that Indian forces’ personnel were killing the Kashmiri youth in fake encounters to get rewards and promotions. They maintained that IIOJK has been turned into a killing field where Indian soldiers can kill anyone and anywhere they want. This situation is extremely painful for the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, they added.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman of Pasban-e-Hurriyat, Uzair Ahmad Ghazali, said the people of IIOJK are facing the worst kind of Indian state oppression, barbarism and terrorism. The speakers deplored that the United Nations Security Council and world human rights organizations including Amnesty International and Asia Watch were acting as mute spectators on the killing of innocent Kashmiris by Indian troops in IIOJK.

PPP leader Shaukat Javed Mir, Vice Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Usman Ali Hashim, political leaders Azmat Hayat Kashmiri and Javed Ahmad Mughal, refugee representatives Syed Hamza Shaheen, Raja Zakheer Khan and Muhammad Aslam Inqalabi also participated in the rally.
