Jhelum Valley, May 06, 2023 (PPI-OT): Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir organized a protest rally at Hattian Bala in Jhelum Valley against the controversial meeting of G20 countries hosted by the Indian government in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Hundreds of people marched on Srinagar road chanting “Boycott Boycott G20 Boycott”, “Go India Go Back”, “Go Modi Go Back” and other anti-India slogans.

The Chairman of Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Uzair Ahmed Ghazali, addressing the participants said that the G20 countries should understand India’s nefarious intentions behind this meeting in the disputed territory.

“In view of India’s illegal occupation over Kashmir, its military aggression on innocent civilians and the worst violations of human rights, the G20 countries as a protest should boycott the meeting in Srinagar,” he maintained.

He further said the G20 countries should not forget that India is committing serious war crimes by in IIOJK. “Bharatiya Janata Party is actually trying to cover up its heinous war crimes by holding meetings in Kashmir,” he said, adding that the G20 members should not allow the Modi government to use this forum for its so-called false narrative on Kashmir.

Vice Chairman Usman Ali Hashim on the occasion said the Modi government is conspiring to cover up all its war crimes against Kashmiris through this meeting but cannot change the fact that Jammu and Kashmir is an internationally recognized disputed territory.

Hafiz Tahir Salafi, the leader of Kashmir United Movement, said India wants to legitimize its illegal occupation over Jammu and Kashmir by holding the G20 meeting in Srinagar.

Abrar Jahangir and Sahibzada Manzoor said instead of participating in the meeting, the G20 countries should raise voices against Indian atrocities in IIOJK.
