Protest in Jammu against delimitation report, in favour of restoration of IIOJK’s pre August 2019 position 

Jammu, May 17, 2022 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a sit-in protest was held outside the office of Election Commission in Jammu against the so-called final report of the Delimitation Commission, set up by the Modi regime to redraw the boundaries of the IIOJK assembly constituencies in a way to give Hindu dominated Jammu region an upper hand over the Muslim majority Kashmir valley.

The protest was organized by almost all Jammu-based political parties except for Bharatiya Janata Party under the banner of All Parties United Morcha. Speakers on the occasion demanded rollback of the recommendations put forth by the Commission, restoration of Jammu and Kashmir’s status to its pre-August 2019 position, strengthening of communal harmony and restoration of democratic process in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The protesters were carrying banners and placards reading “We reject Discriminatory Report given by Delimitation Commission”. Among those who attended the protest included: Sheikh Abdul Rehman, Ravinder Sharma, Rattan Lal Gupta, G S Charak, Hari Singh, Ashwani Pardha, Ram Pal, Sunil Dimple, Narinder Singh Khalsa, Anita Thakur, Nirmal Singh, Varinder Singh, S Gian Singh, Zaffer Sujah, SukhDev Singh, Deshbhagat, Mohinder Singh and S Surjit Singh. I D Khajuria attended the event as Convenor, All Parties United Morcha.
