Athens: Members of the Pakistan-Kashmir community in Athens gathered outside the Greek Parliament today to protest against what they describe as Indian state terrorism in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the demonstration drew a significant turnout from the Pakistani and Kashmiri expatriate community, including prominent Kashmiri leaders Altaf Hussain Wani and Sardar Amjad Yousuf. Participants vocally condemned India’s policies and actions in the region, calling on the international community to intervene and help halt the alleged atrocities committed by Indian forces in Kashmir.
The speakers at the event criticized India’s suppression of the Kashmiri people’s aspirations for self-determination, labeling it as a breach of both human rights and international laws. They stressed the urgency of international accountability for India’s conduct in Kashmir, asserting a commitment to continue their advocacy until Kashmir is liberated from Indian control. The protest remained peaceful, yet it underscored the deep-seated discontent and determination among the demonstrators.
