Jammu, January 16, 2023 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, people staged a protest demonstration in Rajouri town against the so-called new brutal land order and other anti-people policies of the Modi regime. Villagers from Mankato, Sadhyal, Thandikassi and Ninga Nar villages gathered at Mankato in Rajouri town demanding immediate rollback of the land order, which is aimed at evicting the locals from their land to settle non-locals there. The entire exercise, they said, is meant to change the demographic character of the territory.

The protest was led by local political leader Yogesh Sharma. Protesters on the occasion raised slogans against the Modi regime and its local proxies. They said that the new land order will leave homeless thousands of families who are spending sleepless nights due to eviction notices being served to them.
