Jammu, February 16, 2023 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, hundreds of people led by Jammu-based politician and former minister Harsh Dev Singh held a massive protest against the anti-people policies of the authorities. The protest was held outside the office of Public Health Engineering (PHE) against the non-availability of drinking water in Udhampur.
The protestors raised slogans against the PHE Department and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government for failure to quench the thirst of the people. The protest was joined by young, old, females and even children from Kossar Panchayat of Chenani from where the people had been agitating for the last several days for restoration of water supply to their respective habitations. Speaking on the occasion, Harsh Dev strongly condemned the PHE Deptt for depleting all water sources of Kossar Panchayat so as to ensure water supply to Mantalai yoga centre.
