Promotion of Agriculture and Industry Key to Boosting Pakistan’s Exports, Says Minister Rana Tanveer

Lahore: Minister for Industries and Production Rana Tanveer Hussain emphasized the government’s focus on energy sector reforms to bolster agriculture and industry, aiming to increase Pakistan’s exports and hasten economic development. Speaking at the Expo Centre, he highlighted the critical role of agricultural advancement in achieving food self-sufficiency and enhancing export figures.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Rana Tanveer detailed the government’s efforts during his address today. He described the restructuring of the Utility Stores Corporation, aimed at transforming the organization into a profitable entity. The Minister underscored the necessity of increasing Pakistan’s current export volume, which stands at thirty billion dollars, to stimulate economic activities and speed up the development process.

He also praised the involvement of one hundred Chinese companies in the Expo, noting their significant contribution to introducing new products in the Pakistani market. The Minister expressed optimism that these initiatives would contribute to a robust economic trajectory by emphasizing the synergy between agricultural growth and industrial advancement.
