Problems in IIOJK got aggravated after repeal of Article 370: Owaisi

New Delhi, March 16, 2022 (PPI-OT): The President of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) and Member of Indian Parliament, Asaduddin Owaisi, has said that the problems in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir have aggravated after the abrogation of Article 370.

Participating in the debate on the Budget for the IIOJK in Lok Sabha, the lower house of Indian Parliament, Owaisi wanted to know if the Modi government’s economic policy has resulted in any gains for the people of the occupied territory after the abrogation of Article 370. He said the move has not treated the disease (marz), but aggravated the malaise. “How Parliament of India can pass the budget of Jammu and Kashmir?” Owaisi asked.

MP from Revolutionary Socialist Party N K Premachandran asked that how much investment has come into IIOJK after abrogation of Article 370. He asserted social and democratic aspirations of people of the territory need to be protected and statehood restored. He maintained that normalcy has not returned in IIOJK even 3 years after Article 370 was repealed.

Pertinently, the Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian government had repealed the special status of IIOJK by revoking the Article 370 of the Indian constitution in 2019 and divided it into two territories – Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh.
