Lahore, March 30, 2022 (PPI-OT):Additional IG Establishment Punjab Ali Amir Malik has said that timely measures are being taken under Smart and Community Policing for protection of life and property of the people and eradication of crime. Special attention is being paid to investigation alongwith operations for improving output of police stations.
He said that in line with the vision of IG Punjab, IT based policing is being promoted. Similarly, concrete steps are being taken to eradicate organized crime and zero tolerance policy is strictly followed in cases of violence, harassment and abuse against women and children. Additional IG Establishment said that special attention is being paid to training and refresher courses for enhancing capacity building of police officers and personnel so that they could better cope with the challenges of policing.
He expressed these views while talking to the officers of Pakistan Administrative Services who were on a study visit to the Central Police Office here today. The delegation from Civil Services Academy PAS Campus included 40 probationary officers including 12 female officers. Additional IG Operations Sahibzada Shehzad Sultan and DIG Operations Kamran Adil briefed the delegation about working of Punjab Police.
The participants were briefed about Punjab Police Public Service Delivery Projects, Specialized Forces and other operational procedures. Additional IG Operations Sahibzada Shehzad Sultan while addressing the officers, said that mutual co-ordination of officers deployed in the field is essential for timely resolution of public issues.
He said that after successful conductance of PSL, full-fledged security arrangements have been made for Pak Australia cricket series. Sahibzada Shehzad Sultan said that free registration of crime, open door policy and effective use of information technology is being ensured. At the end of the visit, commemorative souvenirs were exchanged between the Additional IG Establishment and the head of the delegation.
