Probationary ASPS coming to Punjab for training met IG Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan at CPO

Lahore, April 05, 2022 (PPI-OT):Punjab Inspector General of Police Rao Sardar Ali Khan has said that protection of life and property of citizen’s along with immediate redressal of their problems is primary responsibility of Punjab Police. He reiterated that role of supervisory officers is crucial in discharging the sacred duty. IG Punjab directed that the young officers should make the spirit of modern policing, high professionalism and service to the people their motto and strengthen relations between police and people.

Rao Sardar Ali Khan directed the trainee probationary officers to spend maximum time in field instead of sitting in offices during field attachments. He said that instead of behaving as an officer, they should become a good learner and the valuable experience gained in field duty would be useful in future.

Rao Sardar Ali Khan said that policing comes from experience and learning so officers should work diligently during training. IG Punjab said that the future belongs to IT based policing, pay special attention to learning new trends and skills.

Rao Sardar Ali Khan said that only those who work hard, honestly and with the spirit of service to the people are successful in the police service. He expressed these views during a meeting with undertraining ASPs at the Central Police Office here today. IG Punjab met the young officers and advised them to work with utmost honesty and dedication.

Under Training 11 ASPs have completed six weeks training at Elite Training College Bedian and now these trainee officers will be sent on field attachments in different districts for 21 weeks. Talking to the lady officers, IG Punjab said that lady officers in Punjab police are being provided equal opportunities to work alongside men. He said that lady officers should be role models for other women through their work and should not spare any effort to solve the problems faced by women citizens.
