Proactive Security Measures Ensure Peaceful Eid in Islamabad, Says Police Chief

ISLAMABAD: Proactive security measures and vigilance by the Islamabad Police ensured a peaceful Eid-ul-Fitr, according to Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. During visits across the city, Rizvi assessed security arrangements at recreational locations and praised officers for their effectiveness, resulting in no untoward incidents during the festivities.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the IGP commended the dedication of officers in controlling hooliganism and one-wheeling, highlighting the enhanced security strategy that included strict checks at city entry and exit points. Deputy Inspector General Muhammad Jawad Tariq, alongside other senior officers, reviewed the security setup, deploying special units and utilizing Safe City cameras for monitoring. All major recreational areas were designated as family parks, and patrolling units remained on high alert, with special traffic squads ensuring smooth traffic flow. Legal action was taken against violators involved in hooliganism and one-wheeling.
