Srinagar: In a bold display of solidarity with Pakistan, pro-Pakistan posters have been prominently displayed across the Kashmir Valley on the occasion of Pakistan’s Independence Day. These posters, featuring Pakistani flags and patriotic slogans, have appeared despite stringent security measures in the region.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the posters, found in Srinagar, Sopore, Bandipora, Budgam, and Islamabad areas of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, proclaim “14th August – Happy Independence Day” and “We are Pakistanis – Pakistan is ours.” They have been strategically placed on pillars, electricity poles, and walls, expressing desires for the region’s future and its potential union with Pakistan.
The presence of these posters, amidst heavy Indian military and police deployments, highlights ongoing tensions and the strong pro-Pakistan sentiment among many Kashmiris. This political expression has also gained traction on various social media platforms, spreading further awareness and support for the cause.
