Pro-Khalistan Graffiti Found in Delhi Ahead of Indian Republic Day

New Delhi, In the lead-up to India’s Republic Day on January 26, pro-Khalistan graffiti has been discovered in New Delhi, causing concern among local authorities. The slogan, related to the Khalistan movement, was found in the Nihal Vihar area of West Delhi.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the Delhi Police reported that the graffiti, which read “SFJ, January 26, Khalistan,” was painted on a pillar in a secluded part of Nihal Vihar. A senior police officer noted that the area where the graffiti appeared is rarely visited, and they suspect it was painted on Monday night.

The discovery of the graffiti was first brought to the attention of the police through a video, leading to the registration of a case on Tuesday. The police are now conducting an investigation to identify the individual responsible for the graffiti, including reviewing CCTV footage from the area.

The appearance of pro-Khalistan graffiti in the capital city ahead of the Republic Day celebrations signifies the ongoing challenges and tensions associated with the Khalistan movement, which advocates for a separate Sikh state. The incident has prompted increased vigilance from law enforcement agencies in the area.
