New Delhi: Priyanka Gandhi, General Secretary of the Indian Congress Party, has publicly condemned the ongoing conflict in Gaza, describing it as a “genocide” and calling for an international response to halt the violence.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Gandhi’s remarks were made in reaction to a recent speech by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the US Congress, in which he defended Israel’s military actions in Gaza. She criticized the global community’s passive response to the crisis, arguing that it has failed to adequately address and curb the violence, thereby allowing the situation to escalate.
Gandhi, a longtime advocate for Palestinian rights, has urged global leaders to adopt a firmer stance against the actions of Israel and to seek a peaceful resolution to the conflict. Her statement has intensified the dialogue surrounding international responsibilities in addressing human rights abuses and fostering peace in the Middle East.
