Private Sector’s Role Key to Exploiting Pakistan’s Renewable Energy Resources, Says Climate Coordinator


Rawalpindi: Romina Khurshid Alam, the Prime Minister’s Coordinator on Climate Change, emphasized the critical role of the private sector in harnessing Pakistan’s renewable energy capacity during a ceremony held on Tuesday. She called on private entities to spearhead investment in renewable energy projects, highlighting the importance of public-private partnerships in this sector.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Alam stressed the necessity for collaboration between the private sector and government agencies to effectively combat climate change. She noted that such cooperative efforts are essential for enhancing resource sharing, technology transfer, and building overall capacity in the renewable energy sphere.



By promoting joint initiatives, Alam believes that the private sector can play a decisive role in advancing green energy projects, which is crucial for the country’s sustainable development and environmental conservation efforts.
