Islamabad: A collaborative cricket match between the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme and the Shahid Afridi Foundation has been announced to honor the heroes of Bunyan-ul-Marsoos and promote youth engagement. The initiative was confirmed during a high-level meeting at the Prime Minister’s Office, attended by national cricketer Shahid Afridi and Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan.
According to Press Information Department, the meeting, which included both in-person and virtual participation from respective teams, focused on promoting cricket and involving youth in constructive activities. Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan congratulated Shahid Afridi on his recent Hilal-e-Imtiaz award, recognizing his contributions to cricket and social work. The “Bunyan-ul-Marsoos” cricket match will feature young players from the Prime Minister’s Youth Talent Hunt and celebrities, scheduled to take place in Islamabad around Eid-ul-Adha.
Shahid Afridi expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative and commended the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme’s efforts in youth development. Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan emphasized the match’s role in encouraging youth participation in sports and promoting positive activities within the country.
