Lahore: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif engaged in a telephone conversation with Prime Minister Nawaf Salam of Lebanon on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

According to Press Information Department, during the exchange, Prime Minister Sharif conveyed Eid greetings to his Lebanese counterpart and the people of Lebanon, a gesture that was reciprocated by Prime Minister Salam. The conversation also addressed the ongoing Israeli aggression against Lebanon, which has led to loss of life and displacement. Prime Minister Sharif expressed Pakistan’s condemnation of the hostilities and extended solidarity with Lebanon during these challenging times.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan reiterated support for Lebanon’s unity and territorial integrity, calling for an immediate cessation of hostilities. He emphasized the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in restoring peace in the region. Both leaders acknowledged the longstanding ties between their nations and agreed to maintain close coordination in the future.
