Islamabad: Ayesha Raza Farooq, the Prime Minister’s Focal Person for Polio Eradication, visited Rawalpindi today to oversee the ongoing polio vaccination campaign. During her visit, Farooq assessed the efforts in UC CTR-5 and Habib Colony in Rawalpindi Cantt, where she commended the dedication of frontline workers and engaged with local health authorities.

She praised the hard work of the frontline workers, specifically mentioning Area Incharge Abbas and UCMO Muhammad Ishaq for their roles in the campaign. Her visit underscores the government’s commitment to eradicating polio and the Prime Minister’s initiative to #reacheverychild with polio vaccines during the September campaign.

Farooq also acknowledged the leadership of local health authorities in Islamabad and Rawalpindi for spearheading the vaccination efforts and encouraged parents to have all eligible children vaccinated.
