Riyadh: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has extended an invitation to global investors to contribute to various sectors of Pakistan’s economy, highlighting the potential for international collaborations in healthcare and education. Speaking at the Future Investment Initiative Conference in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the Prime Minister emphasized Pakistan’s readiness to embrace a future of innovation.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister stated that collaboration is key to human advancement, suggesting that no single country can fully harness the potential of the future without collective efforts. He encouraged investors to bring their expertise to Pakistan as the country aims for resilience and shared prosperity. Sharif outlined Pakistan’s transformative journey toward stability and growth, inviting international partners to join in efforts defined by innovation and progress.
The Prime Minister highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to a knowledge-based economy, focusing on innovation in artificial intelligence, education, and health. He pointed out that Pakistan is not only embracing AI but also training skilled engineers and data scientists to apply AI across various industries. In education, reforms and initiatives like the Daanish School and the Education Endowment Program aim to create a skilled, tech-savvy generation. In healthcare, young medical professionals are pioneering health-tech solutions, while institutions like King Edward Medical College, NUST, and Agha Khan University offer promising potential for advancements in medical science.
Sharif also made a call for global peace, asserting that dreams of progress and prosperity are unattainable without restoring peace in Gaza and ending the bloodshed. The conference theme ‘Infinite Horizons: Investing Today, Shaping Tomorrow’ underscores the global investment focus.
