Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Visits Quetta, Reaffirms Commitment to Balochistan Security


Quetta: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif visited Quetta today, accompanied by top military and government officials, to discuss the security situation in Balochistan amid increasing terrorist activities. The visit included briefings on security operations and a declaration of unwavering support for the province’s stability.



According to Press Information Department, the Prime Minister was joined by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Ataullah Tarar, and Adviser on Political and Public Affairs Rana Sanaullah. Local leadership, including Governor Jaffer Khan Mandokhel and Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, also participated in the discussions.



Prime Minister Sharif received comprehensive updates on security strategies, focusing on recent terrorist incidents and the efforts of military and law enforcement agencies. He paid tribute to those who lost their lives in service and expressed solidarity with their families, reaffirming national support for security forces and Balochistan’s citizens in combating terrorism.



Emphasizing Balochistan’s role in Pakistan’s stability and development, the Prime Minister condemned the actions of entities attempting to disrupt progress. He acknowledged the dedication of law enforcement agencies in addressing regional terrorism, particularly those efforts attributed to foreign influences. The Prime Minister reinforced the Federal Government’s commitment to collaborating with the Provincial Government to eradicate terrorism and ensure a peaceful future for Balochistan.
