Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to Represent Pakistan at Arab Islamic Summit in Riyadh.


Riyadh: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will represent Pakistan in the second Joint Arab Islamic Summit being held in Riyadh tomorrow. The summit, convened at the initiative of Saudi Arabia, aims to address the ongoing situation in the Middle East.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Prime Minister Sharif plans to reiterate Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause at the summit. He will advocate for an immediate end to the violence in Gaza, calling for an urgent and unconditional ceasefire and the cessation of Israeli actions in the region that threaten the security of Middle Eastern countries.



Pakistan will also emphasize the need for international protection for Palestinians and support the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital. Additionally, the Prime Minister is expected to engage in bilateral discussions with leaders from other Arab League and OIC member states on the sidelines of the summit.



The summit will see participation from heads of state, governments, and senior officials from Arab League countries and OIC member states, highlighting the significance of the event in addressing regional issues.
