Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to Embark on a Five-Day Official Visit to China

Islamabad, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif is set to begin a five-day official visit to China next Tuesday, following an invitation from Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang, aimed at bolstering bilateral relations and advancing economic and strategic cooperation.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the visit will include stops in Xi’an, Shenzhen, and Beijing, where the Prime Minister will engage in talks with key Chinese officials including President Xi and Premier Li. The agenda encompasses discussions on enhancing the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and deepening trade and investment ties.

The Prime Minister is also scheduled to meet corporate executives from major Chinese firms involved in oil and gas, energy, ICT, and emerging technologies. In Shenzhen, he will address the China-Pakistan Business Forum to further promote bilateral business and investment opportunities. This visit underscores a significant effort to strengthen collaboration across various sectors including security and defense, energy, space, science, and technology.
