Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif is set to lead Pakistan’s delegation at the high-level segment of the 79th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. The Prime Minister’s agenda will focus on reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to multilateralism and its active support for the UN’s role in promoting global peace, security, and prosperity.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during his address at the General Assembly, Prime Minister Sharif will discuss critical global issues, including the need for resolution on long-standing matters such as the Palestine and Jammu and Kashmir disputes under the UN Security Council’s agenda. Moreover, he will call on the international community to adopt decisive actions to combat climate change and tackle the growing concern of Islamophobia.
This participation underscores Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to engage with the international community in addressing and solving critical global challenges, aiming to enhance diplomatic and cooperative ties worldwide.
