Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan is set to travel to Kazakhstan for a two-day visit to participate in the SCO Council of Heads of State and SCO Plus Summits in Astana. Accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, along with other top cabinet and government officials, Sharif will engage in discussions on significant regional and global topics, emphasizing Pakistan’s commitment to regional connectivity and cooperation within the SCO framework.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister’s agenda includes delivering a speech at the SCO Plus Summit, which will host SCO member states, dialogue partners, observer states, guests of the chair, and representatives from international organizations. Sharif aims to reinforce the significance of strengthening the SCO to benefit its regional populations. Additionally, he plans to hold individual meetings with other participating leaders during the sidelines of the Summit to further discuss issues of mutual interest and deepen diplomatic ties.
