Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Pledges to Overcome Pakistan’s Adversaries with Unified National Effort


Islamabad: In a resolute address to the Federal Cabinet today, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif declared a steadfast commitment to combating terrorism and external threats through a unified effort encompassing the nation, its armed forces, and law enforcement agencies. Sharif emphasized that no negotiations would be entertained with terrorists, underscoring his government’s focus on national security and development.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Sharif highlighted the cohesive actions of his administration in a bid to stabilize and secure the country. Detailing his recent visit to Quetta, he reported on the comprehensive law and order review and the ongoing efforts to counteract forces sowing discord in Balochistan, supported by foreign funding. The Prime Minister praised the local leadership for their developmental initiatives and highlighted the federal government’s support in combating terrorism.



In his discussion on economic matters, Sharif pointed to Moody’s recent positive assessment of Pakistan’s economic trajectory, affirming signs of recovery and growth. He reiterated the significance of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in enhancing the nation’s development and prosperity. The Prime Minister also announced forthcoming federal initiatives, including a five-year economic revival plan aimed at boosting exports, agriculture, industry, and youth development, with specific emphasis on vocational training.



Sharif’s address also touched on the personal sacrifices of families of martyrs, noting their high morale and the government’s ongoing support for them, as well as the enhancement of the Levies force’s capacity with federal backing. The commitment to regional development was underscored with plans to allocate substantial funds for converting agricultural tube wells to solar energy in Balochistan.
