Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed his government’s commitment to supporting state media, emphasizing its role in fostering national unity and educating the public about key initiatives.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Prime Minister Sharif spoke with probationary officers of the Information Group in Islamabad, where he stressed the importance of modern communication tools for engaging with the public. He highlighted the pivotal role of information officers in maintaining transparency and building trust between the government and citizens.
The meeting also included discussions on the challenges and opportunities in the current media environment, with the Prime Minister urging the officers to uphold integrity and professionalism in their duties. The officers, in turn, discussed their training and aspirations to effectively contribute to national development.
Also present were the Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, Federal Secretary for Information and Broadcasting, Ms. Ambreen Jan, and Director General of the Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation, Saeed Ahmed Sheikh, who supported the Prime Minister’s vision for a proactive and responsive state media apparatus.
