Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has extended his congratulations to the nation on the 50th anniversary of the historic parliamentary resolution that affirmed the finality of the Prophet-hood of Hazrat Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Alehi Wassallam. This resolution, passed in 1974, has been a cornerstone in defining religious beliefs in Pakistan.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, in a statement released on social media platform X, Prime Minister Sharif reflected on the resolution’s profound impact on reinforcing Islamic faith and resolving ambiguities surrounding the finality of prophet-hood. He commended the efforts of parliamentarians, Ulema, Mashaikh, and scholars who played pivotal roles in the resolution’s adoption.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the finality of prophet-hood is not only a fundamental tenet of Islam but also holds significant importance for every Muslim. He reiterated the resolution’s role in strengthening religious convictions and unity among Muslims in Pakistan and beyond.
