Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has sent a letter to His Eminence Mojtaba Khamenei, offering condolences on the martyrdom of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the former Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The letter also extends congratulations to Mojtaba Khamenei on assuming the role of Supreme Leader.
According to Press Information Department, the Prime Minister expressed the deepest condolences and prayers from the people of Pakistan, highlighting the solidarity shared with Iran and the Muslim Ummah during this challenging time. He noted that Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei’s passing has profoundly affected the people of Pakistan.
In his letter, Prime Minister Sharif conveyed hope that Mojtaba Khamenei’s leadership would steer Iran towards peace, stability, and prosperity. He emphasized the strong ties between Pakistan and Iran, rooted in shared faith, history, and culture, and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation for mutual benefit.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister wished for the good health and success of His Eminence Mojtaba Khamenei, as well as peace and prosperity for the people of Iran.
