Riyadh: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Sheikh Dr. Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, the Secretary General of the Muslim World League, at the organization’s office in Riyadh today. During the meeting, the Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for the Muslim World League’s efforts in promoting the true image of Islam globally and commended the Secretary General’s leadership in fostering unity among the Muslim Ummah. He emphasized the organization’s critical role in advocating for Muslim causes and spreading messages of fraternity, tolerance, and mutual respect, particularly in light of the ongoing conflict in Gaza and other challenges facing the Muslim world.
According to Press Information Department, the Prime Minister recalled the Secretary General’s recent visit to Pakistan and expressed anticipation for the swift completion of several planned projects and initiatives between the two sides. He highlighted the establishment of the Seerat Museum in Pakistan, noting its significance in showcasing various aspects of the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him). The Prime Minister remarked that projects like these are engaging the younger generation and reinforcing Islam’s timeless message through the use of modern digital technologies. He also expressed his hope for the Secretary General’s forthcoming visit to Pakistan to maintain the momentum and expedite the implementation of ongoing projects.
The Secretary General praised the Prime Minister for his dedication and efforts to bolster relationships between Pakistan and the Muslim Ummah. He also congratulated the Prime Minister on the success of his recent visits to Saudi Arabia.
