Islamabad: In response to the severe rainfall threatening several regions, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has issued directives to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and other relevant departments to implement protective measures for citizens in endangered areas.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister emphasized the necessity of timely actions including the potential evacuation of residents in case of escalating emergencies. He specifically pointed out that immediate relief and the provision of essential supplies must be prioritized in areas most at risk, including Bahawalpur, Lodhran, and their surrounding regions.
These directives come as part of a broader government effort to mitigate the impacts of natural disasters on vulnerable populations, ensuring that preparedness and response measures are swiftly and effectively executed.
