Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif extended greetings to Pakistanis worldwide in a message marking the country’s 77th Independence Day. He honored the memory of the nation’s founders and emphasized the achievements and ongoing challenges faced by Pakistan, particularly in economic and social realms.
According to Press Information Department, Prime Minister Sharif praised the contributions of overseas Pakistanis and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to supporting the self-determination rights of the people in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine. He outlined his government’s focus since the February 2024 elections, including efforts to stabilize the economy, reduce inflation, and advance digitization and tax reforms.
The Prime Minister expressed optimism about the nation’s direction under his leadership, noting improvements in the economic indicators and ongoing initiatives aimed at enhancing Pakistan’s prosperity and global standing. He called for unity and collective effort to build a more inclusive and prosperous future for all Pakistanis, echoing the vision of the country’s founders.
