Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has taken a firm stance against the dissemination of derogatory propaganda targeting the nation’s martyrs, considering it an affront to the state’s integrity rather than merely a governmental issue. In a recent meeting with government spokespersons in Islamabad, the Prime Minister mandated the development of an effective strategy to combat such narratives, emphasizing the need to safeguard the honor of those who sacrificed their lives for the country.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, focused on reinforcing the state and national narrative concerning defense and public interest. The participants collectively denounced the negative campaigns orchestrated by a political party against martyrs, resolving to counteract this with a robust and coordinated response.
Expressing his dismay, Prime Minister Sharif highlighted the gravity of disrespecting the country’s martyrs and the anguish it causes to their families and loved ones. He underscored that demeaning the sacrifices of those who laid down their lives for national security is both condemnable and unacceptable.
