Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has committed to offering free quality education to Palestinian students in Pakistan, welcoming them to study across major cities including Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, and Islamabad.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the assurance came during a welcoming ceremony held in Islamabad, where the Prime Minister encouraged more students from Gaza to take advantage of educational opportunities in Pakistan. Sharif highlighted the support from various Non-Governmental Organizations, notably the Al-Khidmat Foundation, which assists war-affected students from Palestine.
The initiative is part of a broader effort to foster goodwill and support the educational needs of Palestinian youth in Pakistan. Over one hundred students from Palestine have already arrived to continue their studies, receiving a warm welcome from both the government and local communities.
Prime Minister Sharif expressed a heartfelt message to the students, affirming that Pakistan serves as their second home and emphasizing the country’s commitment to ensuring their comfort and success during their stay.
The Palestinian students expressed gratitude towards the Prime Minister and the Pakistani people for their hospitality and generosity, reflecting the strong ties between the two nations.
