Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Commits to Development in Gilgit-Baltistan

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reiterated the federal government’s commitment to collaborating with the newly elected government of Gilgit-Baltistan to enhance the welfare of the region’s residents. In a meeting with Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Amjad Hussain in Islamabad, Sharif outlined various development initiatives aimed at improving renewable energy, tourism, infrastructure, health, and education in the region.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister emphasized priority projects such as a 100-megawatt solar power project and the establishment of Daanish Schools in Gilgit-Baltistan. Additionally, the federal government plans to set up a Pakistan Asaan Khidmat Centre in Gilgit to better serve the local population. During the meeting, Sharif also extended his congratulations to Hussain on his new role as Chief Minister.
