Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has pledged to provide electricity and gas to industries at reduced rates to spur industrial development and boost exports. This announcement was made during a critical meeting held in Islamabad today, focusing on enhancing facilities for the industrial sector.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Prime Minister Sharif instructed that the industrial sector’s challenges be addressed urgently. He also directed the formulation of a strategy for tariff rationalization tailored specifically for industrial users. Emphasizing the government’s commitment, he stated that providing facilities to industries is a governmental priority and all possible efforts will be made to promote industrial activity and utilize the country’s productive potential. The meeting also included a briefing on the current rates of electricity and gas supplied to industries compared to domestic consumers.
