Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed the government’s commitment to equipping Pakistan’s youth with modern education and vocational training at the ‘Girls in ICT’ event, held today in Islamabad to celebrate the International Day of Information and Communication Technology for Girls.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Prime Minister Sharif emphasized the critical role of technology in shaping a prosperous future and pledged to support young entrepreneurs in showcasing their skills on international platforms, thereby contributing to the country’s foreign reserves. He highlighted the significant participation of women in technology-related fields and commended their growing influence in the sector.
Minister of State for Information Technology, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, also spoke at the event, outlining various government policies and initiatives aimed at enhancing opportunities for the youth, particularly in the IT sector. She detailed efforts to assist young freelancers and innovators in expanding their businesses and gaining international exposure.
The event also included the distribution of commendation certificates by the Prime Minister to women and girls who have made notable contributions to the IT sector, celebrating their achievements and encouraging further advancements in this field.
