Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Calls for Renewed Commitment to National Progress

Islamabad: In a stirring call to action, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has urged the nation to embrace hard work, honesty, and passion as tools for transformative national development, speaking at the main Independence Day ceremony in Islamabad.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of self-introspection to overcome past errors and advocated for a new journey filled with zeal to navigate the country out of its current crises. Sharif committed to relentless efforts to curb inflation and reduce electricity costs as central to revitalizing Pakistan’s economy, agriculture, and industrial sectors, thereby alleviating the financial burden on domestic consumers.

Highlighting upcoming economic reforms, Sharif revealed that reductions in electricity rates would be announced shortly and disclosed plans for a comprehensive five-year economic strategy. He also called on the youth to dedicate themselves to their education and skills development, steering clear of chaos and deception.

Moreover, Sharif acknowledged the persistent digital threats targeting Pakistani youth, portraying these as attempts by adversaries to destabilize national unity. He reiterated Pakistan’s solidarity with the people of Kashmir and Palestine in their quests for self-determination.

The ceremony also served as a platform for the Prime Minister to honor various societal contributors—from laborers to professionals and security forces, recognizing their sacrifices and roles in national defense and development.
