Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Calls for Reduced Production Costs to Boost Industry and Agriculture


Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has urged for a reduction in production costs to aid the revival of Pakistan’s industrial and agricultural sectors. This call was made during a Federal Cabinet meeting held in Islamabad today, where the Prime Minister reviewed ongoing governmental initiatives across various sectors.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Prime Minister Sharif highlighted the positive outcomes of recent government efforts, particularly in the power sector. He emphasized the necessity of reforms within the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to enhance tax collection and national development, suggesting that revitalization could be achieved by cutting red tape, streamlining routine paperwork, and fully digitizing the process.



Additionally, the Prime Minister paid tribute to Arshad Nadeem, who recently won a gold medal in javelin throw at the Paris Olympics, marking a historic victory for Pakistan after forty years. The Cabinet meeting also touched on the upcoming Independence Day celebrations, with Sharif noting that the event would be observed with national zeal and a reaffirmation of dedication to the country.



The meeting concluded with a moment of remembrance for Deputy Commissioner Panjgur Zakir Baloch and Shaheed Lieutenant Uzair Mehmood Malik, honoring their sacrifices for the nation.
