Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Xi Jinping Discuss Strategic Partnership in Beijing


Beijing: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met with President Xi Jinping in Beijing, marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China. The meeting underscored the importance of the Pakistan-China All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership in a changing global landscape.



According to Press Information Department: The gathering was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sen. Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, among other senior officials. Prime Minister Sharif expressed gratitude for China’s support on issues of national significance and reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for the One China Principle. He also highlighted the strategic importance of the bilateral relationship in promoting regional stability.



The leaders discussed the need for enhanced cooperation in areas such as industrialization, connectivity, and digital transformation. President Xi emphasized the enduring strength of the Pakistan-China relationship and pledged to continue prioritizing this partnership in China’s foreign policy. Both leaders committed to advancing their cooperation into new strategic and practical dimensions.
