Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Aims to Strengthen Economic Bonds with Saudi Arabia


Islamabad, In an effort to deepen bilateral ties, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has pledged to enhance the long-standing relationship between Islamabad and Riyadh into a strategic and economic partnership. This vision includes drawing Saudi investment into viable projects within Pakistan.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister’s commitment was voiced during a meeting with the Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malkiy in Islamabad. Prime Minister Sharif expressed his gratitude to King Salman bin Abdul Aziz and Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman for their congratulations on his re-election, noting the special fraternal ties between the two nations.



In the context of this strengthened partnership, Sharif appreciated the expansion of the “Road to Makkah” initiative, which simplifies the Hajj journey for Pakistani pilgrims. The Saudi Ambassador, while inviting Prime Minister Sharif to Saudi Arabia, reaffirmed the Kingdom’s unwavering support and its role as a steadfast ally in Pakistan’s journey towards growth and prosperity.
