Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called for enhanced regional cooperation to ensure peace and prosperity for the people of South Asia. This message was conveyed during a farewell meeting with the outgoing Ambassador of Nepal, Tapas Adhikari, in Islamabad.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Prime Minister Sharif highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to fostering friendly relations with Nepal. He reminisced about his recent meeting with Nepalese Prime Minister K. P. Sharma Oli during the United Nations General Assembly in New York, emphasizing the potential for expanded bilateral cooperation, particularly in trade and investment sectors.
The Prime Minister also appreciated Ambassador Adhikari’s efforts in bolstering bilateral relations between Pakistan and Nepal. He acknowledged the ambassador’s role in enhancing people-to-people contacts and promoting cultural exchange between the two nations.
Ambassador Tapas Adhikari, in turn, commended Pakistan’s progress under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s leadership. He expressed gratitude for the support he received during his tenure in Pakistan, noting the positive developments in bilateral ties.
