Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has publicly thanked various world leaders for their congratulations on his recent re-election, highlighting his commitment to strengthening international relationships.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, in a set of messages shared on the social media platform X, Shehbaz Sharif extended his sincere gratitude towards Chinese President Xi Jinping for his congratulatory message. The Prime Minister emphasized his eagerness to bolster the “iron-clad friendship” between Pakistan and China, particularly through the further development of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), a key component of the Belt and Road Initiative.

Sharif also expressed appreciation to Chinese Premier Li Qiang, affirming Pakistan’s dedication to deepening the all-weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership with China and maximizing the potential of CPEC.

Moreover, the Prime Minister conveyed his thanks to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, looking forward to enhancing the historical ties between the two nations to new heights of cooperation and brotherhood.

Sharif’s gratitude also extended to the leadership of the United Arab Emirates, including Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, for their good wishes. He voiced his anticipation for working closely with the UAE to fortify the countries’ fraternal relations, which he described as based on mutual trust, shared faith, history, and heritage.

Karachi, Following his third election as Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah addressed a comprehensive press conference at the Chief Minister House in Karachi, focusing on legal justice, administrative changes, and economic relief initiatives within Sindh.

According to Chief Minister Sindh, the conference highlighted several critical issues, including the pursuit of justice for Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, acknowledging his unfair trial, and Shah’s dissatisfaction with the current law and order situation across the province. Shah announced forthcoming administrative adjustments and the establishment of the new Sindh Cabinet to reassess the decisions of the interim government and tackle inflation.

The Chief Minister revealed plans for a substantial Ramadan relief package aimed at aiding over 44 lakh families amidst rising inflation, emphasizing the non-establishment of special thrift markets to prevent misuse. Furthermore, a robust campaign against hoarding and inflation is set to commence, reinforced by last year’s anti-hoarding legislation, signaling strict enforcement and surveillance by district administrations.

Addressing law and order, Shah underscored the necessity for immediate improvements, hinting at administrative changes to bolster security and governance. He also indicated the imminent formation of the Sindh Cabinet to enhance service delivery and policy implementation in line with public expectations and the Pakistan People’s Party’s mandate.
