Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Acknowledges Global Leaders’ Congratulations on Re-Election

Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has publicly thanked various world leaders for their congratulations on his recent re-election, highlighting his commitment to strengthening international relationships.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, in a set of messages shared on the social media platform X, Shehbaz Sharif extended his sincere gratitude towards Chinese President Xi Jinping for his congratulatory message. The Prime Minister emphasized his eagerness to bolster the “iron-clad friendship” between Pakistan and China, particularly through the further development of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), a key component of the Belt and Road Initiative.

Sharif also expressed appreciation to Chinese Premier Li Qiang, affirming Pakistan’s dedication to deepening the all-weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership with China and maximizing the potential of CPEC.

Moreover, the Prime Minister conveyed his thanks to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, looking forward to enhancing the historical ties between the two nations to new heights of cooperation and brotherhood.

Sharif’s gratitude also extended to the leadership of the United Arab Emirates, including Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, for their good wishes. He voiced his anticipation for working closely with the UAE to fortify the countries’ fraternal relations, which he described as based on mutual trust, shared faith, history, and heritage.

These exchanges underscore Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s focus on nurturing Pakistan’s diplomatic relationships and collaboration with key international partners.
