Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed gratitude to Qatar’s leadership for its support of Pakistan’s initiatives aimed at promoting peace and stability in the region. This acknowledgment came during a telephone conversation with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani.
According to Radio Pakistan, during the discussion, both leaders exchanged perspectives on the evolving regional and international landscape. Prime Minister Sharif praised Qatar’s constructive role in regional diplomacy and its efforts in building consensus for ongoing mediation initiatives.
The leaders underscored the importance of sustained coordination and dialogue among stakeholders to address mutual challenges. Prime Minister Sharif conveyed his greetings to Qatar’s Amir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and expressed his anticipation of the Amir’s upcoming official visit to Pakistan. The dialogue concluded with an agreement to maintain regular high-level communication to advance the outcomes of their conversation.
