Prime Minister Sharif Urges Global Action Against Israeli Actions in Gaza

Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan has made a strong appeal to the international community to exert pressure on Israel to cease its oppressive actions against Palestinians. This call to action was highlighted in his message on the International Day of Al-Quds and Juma tul Wida, condemning the violence in Gaza.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Sharif provided a grim overview of the situation, stating that since October last year, 32,000 Palestinians, including 17,000 children, have been killed and 70,000 injured in Gaza. He criticized the deliberate targeting of hospitals, refugee camps, and schools, along with the obstruction of humanitarian aid. Despite the UN Security Council’s ceasefire resolution, Sharif noted that unprovoked attacks on civilians continue.

The Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to providing moral and diplomatic support to the Palestinians, advocating for their liberation and the establishment of an independent state within pre-1967 borders. He also called on Muslims worldwide, particularly in Pakistan, to remember the struggles of Palestinian and Kashmiri people during Juma tul Wida, praying for their relief and the peace, security, and prosperity of Pakistan.
