ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reiterated Pakistan’s strong support for the United Nations’ central role in global affairs. In a meeting with Macky Sall, a candidate for the position of United Nations Secretary-General, the Prime Minister emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to multilateralism and the UN’s mission.
According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting highlighted Pakistan’s dedication to the principles of the UN Charter and the implementation of United Nations Security Council resolutions. Prime Minister Sharif expressed hope that future UN leadership would continue to advance the organization’s pillars of peace, security, development, and human rights effectively.
During the discussion, Macky Sall expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s contributions to the United Nations and commended its leadership in international peace efforts. The meeting underscored Pakistan’s ongoing commitment to international law and treaties as a foundation for global peace and security.
